We promote a balanced life for our colleagues and continually seek new ways to enhance our environment and support our beautiful home of San Diego.We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Grand Del Mar, as our new Groundskeeper.ResponsibilitiesOperates light motorized equipment in mowing greens, tees, aprons, around trees, banks, and hillsides; cleans and edges cart-paths; edges, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers.Operates light motorized carts for transportation and material hauling.Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis; reports equipment problems or failure to the Equipment Manager immediately.Returns all equipment cleaned to the designated location at the maintenance facility; and cleans all maintenance areas.Collects litter.Helps in project work, grades and prepares soil base, lays sod, excavates and backfills tranches.Participates in annual over-seeding of grass areas.May be asked to operate mowers, tractors, or other light equipment.Performs other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor.QualificationsAbility to communicate in English.Driving skills required.Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.Ability to manage others.Frequent reaching, bending, heavy lifting (50 lbs.)Ability to operate heavy machinery.Ability to adapt to extremes of temperature and inclement weather from outdoor working environment.Physical DemandsAbility to stand while working.Ability to bend, kneel or squat.Wrist dexterity.Pushing/pulling and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.Repetitive movement of arm at shoulder and both hands.Ability to reach with hands and arms.Ability to twist neck.Wage InformationThe hourly rate for this position is $21.19.Job Perks & Benefits: Join our team and enjoy a range of exclusive colleague perks, including complimentary upgrades, extended stays, discounted stays across Fairmont & Raffles properties, special dining and wellness discounts, and added luxuries to enhance your experience.
