As a Vice President in the Risk Management team, you lead the development and execution of risk criteria for retail overdraft and connected commerce collection and recovery. You help us optimize recovery strategies, collaborate across teams, and drive innovation. You will use your expertise to strengthen our risk framework and support business growth. Job responsibilities:

• Develop and execute risk management criteria for retail overdraft and connected commerce collections
• Oversee collection and recovery processes to ensure effective outcomes
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures
• Establish and maintain policies and procedures for compliance and best practices
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, reporting insights to senior management
• Lead and mentor risk management professionals, fostering continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for holistic risk management strategies
• Integrate advanced analytics and technology solutions to enhance processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Articulate the impact of risks and issues on business functions
• Influence business leaders with clear communication

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Understanding of account lifecycle, including underwriting, portfolio management, and collections
• Detailed knowledge of key performance metrics and profitability drivers
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in credit risk management with focus on overdraft and/or connected commerce collection and recovery
• Solid functional knowledge in credit risk strategy, business development, product development, and project management
• Understanding of cross-functional dependencies to support risk appetite
• Ability to articulate business impacts of risks and issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
• SAS or equivalent data mining expertise

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• 7+ years of financial services experience in risk management, controls, audit, quality assurance, or compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Law, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, FRM, JD) preferred
• Extensive experience in risk management, especially in collection and recovery
• Proven track record in developing and implementing collection and recovery strategies
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. Risk Management helps the firm understand, manage and anticipate risks in a constantly changing environment. The work covers areas such as evaluating country-specific risk, understanding regulatory changes and determining credit worthiness. Risk Management provides independent oversight and maintains an effective control environment.
