Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing automated production equipment, robotics, conveyors, and material handling systems. You will perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime. Additionally, you will support automated potting machines by monitoring their operation, ensuring proper purging, and replenishing materials.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment, robotics, conveyors, and material handling systems.

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime.

• Support automated potting machines by monitoring operation, ensuring proper purging, and replenishing materials.

• Clear production line jams and resolve equipment issues impacting production efficiency.

• Replace component barrels, empty collection containers, and perform machine changeovers as needed.

• Diagnose and repair automated screwdrivers, assembly systems, and other production equipment.

• Work closely with production operators to address equipment concerns and maintain workflow.

• Participate in daily shift handoff meetings to review equipment status and ongoing maintenance needs.

• Utilize Microsoft Teams and computer-based systems to communicate updates and document maintenance activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.

• Knowledge of schematics, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks.

• Familiarity with automation and material handling equipment.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints.

• Experience with repair in material handling, automotive, or circuit board company equipment.

• Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• PLC troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency

This is a Permanent position based out of Machesney Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
