Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Georgia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; typically every other weekend (schedule determined by staffing needs); patient ratio 1:5-6 on days and nights, 1:6 on weekends; 32-bed unit

Highlights:

• Overflow intermediate care unit specializing in cardiac, pulmonary, and medical-surgical patient populations including arrhythmia management, CHF, chest pain, COPD, PE/DVT, post-cardiac cath, DKA, and stable cardiac arrhythmias
• Must have proven experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Epic EMR system preferred; additional systems include Pyxis and SBAR
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Contract includes orientation hours with telemetry competency exam required; floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract; holiday coverage required based on assignment period

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or step-down nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated competency managing cardiac drips, anticoagulants, insulin drips, and diuretics without exception
• Experience with TR bands, basic arrhythmia interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-PCI patient care
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, central line management, blood product administration, and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with patient ratios of up to 6:1
• Full compliance documentation must be completed by Tuesday prior to start date
