Job Description
Title: Traveler - ICU Stepdown / PCU / IMC / Telemetry Schedule:
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13+ weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 per week options Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIHSS
- License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal
- Core clinical skills:
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management
- Arterial line care and vasoactive/pressor drip management/titration experience
- Central line / PICC / peripheral line care; IV starts
- Blood product administration
- Chest tube and tracheostomy care
- Non-invasive airway management (e.g., HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP)
- Use of Rapid Response/Code teams; heparin and insulin protocols Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care in a critical care setting.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and manage infusion pumps as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and procedures. Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: hospital orientation week one required.
- Scrub colors: Navy, White, or combination.
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
- RTO: Posting contains conflicting guidance regarding RTO policies; verify at submission.
