Diesel Mechanic

Position Diesel Mechanic, Earn up to $36.15/hr. Hours Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 2nd shift – 2:00 pm to 12:30 am. Available PTO may be used immediately upon hire. Job Description R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Tonawanda, NY Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic you will be responsible for day‑to‑day equipment maintenance on our fleet, performing preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. Responsibilities also include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding, depending on location. Requirements Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines Must be able to handle major repairs Experience with AC and electrical systems Ability to lift 50 lbs Must own personal tools 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred Experience with preventive maintenance of Cummins and Detroit engines Experience using Cetaris for work orders Experience in trailer PMs and repairs About Us R+L Carriers is a family‑owned, privately held transportation company founded in 1965.
