Make a real impact supporting K-12 students as a virtual Occupational Therapist, providing teletherapy services to nurture development and independence. This contract position offers flexibility—with the ability to design your own schedule while delivering vital support to students at primarily two school sites. You’ll collaborate closely with onsite paraprofessionals, ensuring seamless therapy and student engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid OT license for California
- Experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting (K-12 preferred)
- Teletherapy experience highly desired
- Strong communication skills for virtual collaboration with school staff, students, and caregivers
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional documentation
- Tech-savvy with reliable internet for virtual sessions
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct online OT assessments, create individualized intervention plans, and deliver engaging therapy sessions to K-12 students
- Maintain clear documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and school requirements
- Collaborate with onsite paraprofessionals for seamless session support and student assistance
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and school teams to report on student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Empower students to achieve their goals related to fine motor skills, sensory regulation, self-care, and classroom participation
