NTT DATA's client is currently seeking an Automation Tester to join their team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).Key ResponsibilitiesTest Automation & Framework DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testingIdentify test scenarios suitable for automation and ensure high automation coverageDevelop automated test scripts using Java/Python (or similar languages)Testing & Quality EngineeringPerform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and system testingExecute automated and limited manual tests where requiredParticipate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test strategy discussionsEnsure adherence to quality standards and best practicesIntegrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)Enable shift-left testing and continuous quality checksWork with DevOps teams to support containerized and cloud-based test executionWork as part of Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesCollaborate with developers to debug issues and improve testabilityProvide clear test metrics, reports, and quality insights to stakeholdersEvaluate and recommend improvements to test tools, frameworks, and processesStay updated with latest trends in test automation and quality engineeringMentor junior QA/Automation engineers when neededTechnical Skills5+ years of experience in test automation / SDET roles4-5 years of strong programming skills in Java or Python5+ years of experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress3-5 years of strong API automation experience using REST Assured, Postman, or similar toolsKnowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest)5+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with Git and version control workflows5+ years of working knowledge of SQL and database testing3-5 years of experience testing microservices and distributed systemsExposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP3-5 years of experience with Docker and containers (Kubernetes is a plus)Understanding of performance and security testing basics (JMeter, OWASP concepts) NTT DATA
