Job Description

Schedule - Shift times: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM and 8:30 AM–5:00 PM - Work pattern: 5 days one week / 4 days the next (72 hours over 2 weeks)

Assignment Details - Daily census: ~18 cases across 5 OR rooms

Requirements - Minimum: 1 year OR circulator experience in the intraoperative setting - Required certification: BLS - Additional certification: ACLS - Familiarity with general OR and specialty procedures including retina, total hip/knee, hand surgery, breast oncology & reconstruction, ENT, laparoscopic chole, hernia repairs, podiatry - Skills include specimen handling/labeling, starting peripheral IVs, administration of blood/blood products, basic infection control and safety practices

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate the intraoperative care of patients in the operating room.

Ensure the surgical environment is safe and that all necessary equipment and supplies are available for each procedure.

Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate efficient operation flow and patient safety.

Monitor patient status and respond to changes in conditions during surgery.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Compliance documents due by Tuesday prior to start.

Must submit core items and schedule labs within 48 hours of signing contract to avoid delay.

RTO: Max 7 days; RTO required with submission.

Major holiday expectations outlined for work obligations during the assignment.

GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal.

Two supervisory references (manager or above) highly preferred.
