Registered Nurse - GRHS, Savannah, GA

GA Regional Hospital Savannah is seeking candidates for the position of Registered Nurse. This is a full-time position and eligible for State Benefits. This position will work 7:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Job Summary - Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assess client health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients.
• May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
• Administers prescribed medications or starts intravenous fluids, and notes times and amounts on clients' charts.
• Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans. Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records.
• Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.
• Monitors all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity.
• Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in clients' conditions.
• Observes nurses and visits clients to ensure that proper nursing care is provided.
• Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments.
• Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained.
• Provides education to client and family.
• Provides health care, first aid, immunizations and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:

• Valid Georgia License and/or Nurse Licensure Compact Multi-State License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in Georgia.
• Experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred but not required.

Qualifications - External Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND any related professional work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse or Multistate license; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Registered Nurse 1 (HCP070) or position equivalent.
