Senior Scientist, Analytical Sciences (Contract)

Qualifications :

• Requires a . degree in chemistry with >8 years of relevant research experience or a Ph.D. degree with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience or equivalent in the field of new drug discovery and development.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques including chromatography (e.g. HPLC GC LC/MS) spectroscopy (e.g. UV-Vis FTIR) titration methods (e.g. Karl Fischer acid-base) dissolution testing particle size analysis (by laser diffraction) microscopy and other compendial methods.
• Experience using laboratory software to collect analyze and report data. This might include instrument control software (Openlab Empower etc.) or data analysis programs (Excel etc.).
• A strong attention to detail and demonstrated prior experience working in GLP cGMP environment.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative ownership problem identification problem solving and strategic input.
• Excellent communication and organization skills; ability to work independently and efficiently collaborate in a fast-paced integrated multidisciplinary team environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills scientific curiosity critical thinking and ability to quickly adapt and shift focus as needed.
• Experience working in late-stage development or commercialization environments is preferred.
• Hands-on in-plant experience within a manufacturing or production setting is highly preferred.

Additional Information :

The anticipated base salary for candidates who will work on-site at our South San Francisco location is between $75.00-$85.00/ per hour The final rate offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include title type and length of experience within the role type and length of experience within the industry education geography and other job-related factors. This position is not eligible for H-1B visa sponsorship.
