Job Title: Travel RN - SICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital ICU experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital ICU experience ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications Description: This position is for a travel Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The unit has 26 beds and is staffed by 15 personnel. Day shift consists of 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech, while the night shift consists of 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:2, with 1:1 care for high acuity patients, including post-CABG. The unit is equipped with balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia units, and ECMO. EMR used in the facility is Meditech. Candidates must be driven, organized, and efficient, with a positive attitude and engagement. Previous experience with trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients is preferred. Typical procedures on this unit include managing chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips. Candidates with prior travel experience at large trauma facilities will be considered favorably.
