About the Opportunity Concentric Corporation is conducting a search for an experienced Systems Engineer 1 to join a growing technology team. This role is ideal for a well‑rounded infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while supporting and improving critical business systems. The Systems Engineer will serve as a key technical resource responsible for the design, implementation, support, and optimization of server, cloud, virtualization, networking, and security environments. This position combines advanced troubleshooting with project‑based engineering work and offers the opportunity to work across a diverse technology stack. Location: Grand Island, NE Position Overview The Systems Engineer 1 will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support while helping design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable IT infrastructure solutions. This individual will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure systems operate efficiently while supporting ongoing technology initiatives and business growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support infrastructure solutions across server, cloud, virtualization, networking, and security platforms Provide advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for complex technical issues involving systems, applications, networks, and cloud environments Deploy, administer, and maintain Windows Server environments Manage and support virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper‑V, and cloud‑based solutions Administer and support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement Troubleshoot and resolve complex server, network, connectivity, and infrastructure issues Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures Collaborate with technical and business teams on infrastructure projects and system upgrades Manage project priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations Participate in an on‑call support rotation and assist with critical issue resolution when needed Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Years of Experience 5+ years of hands‑on IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or advanced technical support experience.
