Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and senior patients using recognized assessments along with observational techniques.
- Design tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to forge unified care strategies.
- Provide valuable education to patients and families to sustain progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Support sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless care experience throughout the recovery journey.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation conforming to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Engage in continuous learning through professional development and collaborative teamwork.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-driven treatment methods across all age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Ability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Sound clinical judgment combined with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and regulatory documentation practices.
