Sr. Accountant

Senior Accountant position overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer billing, and cash application operations at a laboratory services company. The role involves supervising two staff accountants, managing vendor and customer accounts, and ensuring accurate transaction processing across multiple accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review AP invoices in Coupa system; create POs and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Supervise two Staff Accountants; provide guidance on AR billing, collections, and account management
• Prepare customer invoices with accurate pricing and documentation; maintain customer account setup
• Apply daily customer payments to AR invoices; research and correct unapplied and misapplied payments
• Investigate aged receivables, payment routing issues, and customer disputes to improve collection efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years progressive accounting experience in AP, AR, billing, and general accounting
• Proficiency with Coupa or similar procurement/AP systems preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ability to analyze and reconcile accounting data
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills managing multiple priorities
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities for investigating discrepancies
• Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
