Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and through delegation of assignments by the Nurse House Supervisor, the Registered Nurse (RN) will independently implement the nursing process to provide safe and effective patient care throughout selected hospital nursing departments. The RN will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized, age-appropriate care to patients ranging from 0 to 120 years old. Duties include providing break relief and supplemental staffing to RNs working in the Emergency, Medical Surgical/Swing Bed, and Skilled Nursing departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective patient care across assigned departments.
• Demonstrate competency and knowledge in delivering individualized patient care.
• Provide break relief and supplemental support to RNs in various departments.
• Maintain documentation of competency in nursing practices.
• Assist with any nursing tasks as directed or autonomously in trained departments.

Schedule

This position requires night shift availability, specifically from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of one year of acute care experience within the past two years.
• At least six months of recent experience in Emergency or Critical Care settings.
• Current unencumbered California RN License.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
