The Application Support Lead is responsible for the technical direction of one or more multi-discipline specialized technical application(s). Acts as technical authority within area. Qualifications: Minimum ISCED Level 6 (Bachelors) or equivalent technical training in subject relevant to the application(s) supported e.g. drafting or engineering technologyCertified training or equivalent experience in one or more technical applicationsKnowledge, skills and experience: Several years' experience working in a project execution environmentAble to assess client and contractual requirements and translate these into a project-ready environmentFully conversant with all aspects of application configuration and ongoing project supportDevelops technical architecture, frameworks and strategies for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirementsAnalyses and evaluates alternative technology solutions to meet business problemsGive technical guidance in relation to set-up requirements, configuration and customization of the technical application(s)Act as the highest point of in-house escalation for complex user issue problem diagnosis and resolutionEscalates to and works with vendor technical resources for problems that cannot be resolved in-house.Identifies the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solutionEnsures the integration of all aspects of technology solutionsMonitors industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with company’s directionResponsible for review of Technical Applications software and hardware systems and data requirements as well as communications and response needsCheck and Review application documentation including procedures, process flows and instructions to support technical queries and workflow changesProvide training, coaching and guidance to less experienced technical applications support staffContinually Identify, pursue and implement improvements to the way the application(s) is configured and usedActs as a specialist subject matter expert for a technical applicationSpecifies data requirements in a datacentric environmentDefines and configures workshare environmentsRepresent the company at external conferences and user forums and stay abreast of development with application(s)Database applicationsAdvise project teams on the implications of engineering strategies and work processes on the set-up, use and handover of project databasesResponsible for the integrity and health of project databases including inconsistency management and running maintenance utilitiesPrepare databases for client handoverFull timePosting Date: 2026-07-09
