Job Goal: Assist in the daily operation of the Risk Assessment department by demonstrating sound financial acumen in the area of student activity fund support. Performs a variety of daily accounting and compliance related transactions including but not limited to: approval and disbursement of cash receipts, check requests, journal entries, assistance with student fees, fundraiser support, banking needs & treasurer training. Under supervision of the Director of Risk, serves as main point of contact for day to day, cash management procedures. Facilitates a close working relationship between treasurers & other Central Office departments. Ideal candidate possesses a strong apititude for mathematics, is a self-starter, flexible team player with excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Must possess comfort with various technology platforms, capable of maintaining confidentiality, strong problem solving skills and the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.

Essential Functions:

• Serves as day to day contact for treasurers related to student activity funds.
• Manages cash receipts, disbursements, transfers, sales tax reporting, audit documentation & month end reconciliation
• Conducts student activity related training for new & existing treasurers
• Acts as substitute treasurer during vacancies to ensure efficient operation of student activity funds meets building needs
• Coordinates school banking needs and quarterly treasurer meetings
• Conducts periodic, on-site school visits to review treasurer bookkeeping. Maintains ongoing feedback to Director of Risk.
• Monitors and escalates compliance related matters to Director of Risk, in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Assists Director of Risk with internal audits
• Maintains Student Activity Manual
• Other duties as assigned

Maintains proactive communication between Treasurers & Director of Risk to meet the educational and extra-curricular needs of students. Utilizes existing technology, reporting and accounting systems effectively in the performance of his or her duties. Performs other related work as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years financial, business or banking experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of and in compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
• Excellent financial acumen with investigative, critical thinking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Deadline driven. Willingness to put in the extra hours when needed.
• Strong ability in project management
• Must have reliable transportation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint is required.
• Knowledge of Business Plus & Infinite Campus systems is a plus
• Flexibility and aptitude for new technology
• Maintaining a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality is expected of this position
• Perform other duties as assigned
