This role involves caring for postpartum patients in a busy medical-surgical environment, providing vital patient education, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as part of a dedicated team. The position offers an opportunity to work within a well-equipped, patient-centered unit focusing on maternal and neonatal care. Job Details: Location: Denver, CO Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Certifications and Education Requirements: Current valid RN license, minimum 1-year recent experience in acute care hospital Postpartum/Maternity/Baby (M/B) unit, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Mother/Baby Unit, flexibility with schedule, ability to adapt quickly to new situations Responsibilities: Monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing perineal care, educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding Typical Procedures: Vital sign monitoring, medication administration, perineal care, parental education Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate compassion, patience, and teamwork. A strong communication skill set with staff and providers is essential. The unit features updated equipment and technology, with approximately 80 staff members, including RNs, CNAs, and charge nurses.
