• Schedule: Preferred 7 on / 7 off model; Monday–Friday onsite coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM; weekend coverage includes rounding and call coverage
• Patient Volume: Approximately 8–10 inpatients per shift
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
• Other Requirement: Laptop required for call coverage

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of advanced practice experience required
• Cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, or cardiology NP experience required
• Board certification required
• Strong clinical comfort with high-acuity adult cardiac and surgical patients
• Experience with inpatient rounding, discharge planning, and medical management preferred
• Ability to participate in call coverage for inpatient management, ER consultations, and transfers
• Endoscopic vein harvest (EVH) or open vein harvest experience is highly valued
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons and interdisciplinary staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Round on ICU and stepdown inpatients, new consults, and discharge patients
• Provide medical management and clinical support for cardiovascular surgery patients
• Assist with endoscopic vein harvest, open vein harvest, and first assist duties as needed
• Support weekend rounding and call coverage for inpatient care and transfers
• Respond to patient management needs, including ER consults and hospital transfers
• Work closely with the surgical team to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Help maintain smooth daily workflow in a busy, high-acuity cardiovascular service line
