Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization Mental Health Therapist II, III or Licensed - Posting #25605 Hourly Range: $27.84 - $31.32 (Mental Health Therapist II or III) Salary Rate: $71,384.77 (Licensed Mental Health Therapist) Position Summary Sea Mar Behavioral Health’s program is seeking a full‑time therapist for its Behavioral Health Program in Federal Way, WA. The Mental Health Therapist (MHT) provides individual and group counseling, case management, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, and treatment planning. The therapist will coordinate with medication providers, primary care physicians, and community agencies, provide referrals, and work occasionally after hours and in community settings. The role supports a whole “health home” approach in collaboration with medical providers. Sponsorship will be considered from Accredited Schools. Licensed Mental Health Therapist The Licensed Mental Health Therapist provides diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, and case management in coordination with other teams. Responsibilities include care of chronically ill patients, patients in the Intensive Outpatient Program, or high‑utilizer patients; working with CDMHP’s and inpatient facilities; ensuring proper hospital authorization and discharge planning; providing individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment and treatment planning; leading groups; delivering clinical supervision to other clinicians; conducting chart reviews; and supporting compliance with WACs, RCWs, and clinical contracts. Education and/or Experience for a Licensed Therapist Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited institution, including coursework in psychological diagnostics. Four or more years of clinical experience in the field. Active Washington State Department of Health license; must meet criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP). Active Washington State Mental Health Counselor License, Marriage and Family Therapist License, or Independent Clinical Social Worker License. Mental Health Therapist III Responsibilities are similar to the Licensed Therapist, with additional duties in program development, policy and procedure development, compliance with WACs and RCWs, and other administrative tasks as directed. Education and/or Experience for MHT III Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited institution, including coursework in psychological diagnostics. Four or more years’ experience in the field. MHP criteria met. Active Washington State Agency‑Affiliated Counselor License (may be pending for up to 60 days if applied for within 7 days of offer) or Mental Health Associate License. Mental Health Therapist II Responsibilities are similar to the Licensed Therapist, with assistance to the Director in program, policy, and procedure development, compliance with WACS and RCWS, and additional administrative tasks. Education and/or Experience for MHT II Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited institution, including coursework in psychological diagnostics. Up to three (3) years’ experience in the field. MHP criteria met. Active Washington State Agency‑Affiliated Counselor License (may be pending for up to 60 days if applied for within 7 days of offer) or Mental Health Associate License. Additional Requirements Minority mental health therapist as required by WAC. Current TB test. Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintenance throughout employment. Bilingual in English and Spanish; Koren and English or English and Swahili preferred.
