Coax SplicerAt TelCom Construction, LLC, as a Coax Splicer, you'll work in telecommunications construction, splicing coaxial system networks for communication companies that provide internet, cable TV, and telephone services.Connecting you to great benefitsWeekly PaychecksPaid Time Off, Parental Leave, and HolidaysInsurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)401(k) w/ Company MatchStock Purchase PlanEducation ReimbursementLegal InsuranceDiscounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more!What you'll doWith guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and undergroundTest, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installationEnsure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standardsSafely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the airComplete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checksDocument work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage recordsOther duties as assignedWhat you'll needTo be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyHigh School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experienceValid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving recordMust be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical cardSix months of coax splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industryAdditional qualificationsCertified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferredPhysical abilities & exposuresRoutinely: work in confined space, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouseOccasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing polesThe wage range for Coax Splicer is $25.00 - $37.00.Why work with usYour career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
