Position Overview:


Our nursing staff operates within collaborative settings alongside robust interdisciplinary teams, emphasizing a patient-centered care approach in a diverse work environment. Under the guidance and general oversight of the Nurse Manager, registered nurses apply evidence-based practices in line with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and directives from the medical team. Utilizing their expertise, registered nurses employ the nursing process to create care plans that address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with the nursing process and principles of customer service is essential. National certification in a specialty area is preferred. Experience in an acute care hospital setting is advantageous. IV skills are also preferred, along with proficiency in a secondary language.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current certification in BLS is required or must be completed within the first three months of employment. ACLS certification is mandatory for Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endoscopy. ACLS is highly recommended for staff cross-trained in these areas. NNR certification is required for Obstetrics.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a current RN license in Connecticut and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
