Overview Foundation and Stakeholder Relations Officer JobID: 290 Location: Lake County Tech Campus Date Posted: 5/18/2026 Date Available: 8/1/2026 General Description The Tech Campus Foundation and Stakeholder Relations Office helps establish, grow, and sustain the Foundation, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Tech Campus. This 12-month position focuses on strategic fundraising, donor engagement, alumni relations, and board collaboration to advance the Foundation\'s mission of supporting educational, civic, and charitable initiatives that empower students. Job Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, education, public administration, or related field. Minimum four (4) years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, workforce development, or education. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, donor cultivation, alumni engagement, and community relations. Strong verbal and written communication skills; Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required. Responsibilities Governance & Board Engagement Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Foundation Board of Directors and its committees, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing engagement. Coordinate Board meetings, maintain accurate records, and support committee work (Finance & Investment, Governance, Development, etc.). Partner with the Board to ensure effective oversight and compliance with Illinois nonprofit law. Lead strategic fundraising initiatives to secure financial resources for student programs, scholarships, and initiatives that empower students. Develop and manage the Foundation\'s annual fundraising campaign, including direct appeals, donor cultivation, and alumni engagement. Steward donors, including alumni, families, businesses, and civic leaders, ensuring acknowledgment and recognition of contributions. Manage donor databases, research prospective donors, and prepare proposals, case statements, and stewardship communications. Oversee foundation grants, including research, applications, and compliance for awarded funds. Manage financial support and revenue, along with functional expenses categorized as program services, management and general, event experiences, and fundraising. Funding Sources: Year 1: Identify and secure new funding sources to generate meaningful external support through grants, partnerships, sponsorships, donations, or similar revenue streams. Year 2: Expand and diversify these funding sources to increase the level of external support for the Foundation. Long-Term Goal (Year 3+): Sustain and deepen efforts to secure significant annual funding through newly developed channels that strengthen and support the Foundation's mission. Community Engagement & Alumni Relations Serve as the Foundation\'s ambassador to alumni, local businesses, civic leaders, and community partners. Develop and maintain alumni engagement programs, including mentorship, networking, and volunteer opportunities. Highlight the impact of the Foundation through marketing, storytelling, and communications that demonstrate how donations directly support students. Encourage employers matching gifts and other giving opportunities to maximize donor impact. Event Support & Program Advocacy Assist with and support multiple Foundation events throughout the year, including tours, student showcases, and recognition ceremonies. All event costs and necessary items are to be covered by the school/Foundation. Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure events reflect the mission and impact of the Foundation. Equity & Collaboration Ensure Foundation initiatives reflect principles of equity and inclusion, offering access to opportunities for all students. Collaborate with Tech Campus leadership and staff to integrate Foundation-funded initiatives into the school community. Length of Contract Year-round, 12-month position Hybrid schedule during summer months: two days in the office, two days remote, with flexibility for work-related events. Position follows all scheduled days off aligned with the Tech Campus calendar.
