Architect

What You’ll Do Work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for clients in advanced technologies, life science, pharma, and food and beverage industries. Prepare architectural designs and construction documents for industrial facility interior and exterior renovations as part of an integrated, multi‑disciplinary A/E team. Investigate and design building envelope systems, including roofs and walls. Assist owners or project managers in defining facility requirements and programs for advanced technology projects. Oversee the work of associate architects and designers. Lead architectural design and multi‑disciplinary project teams. Define industrial facility program requirements based on production flow and environmental needs. Conduct site‑specific code research and apply relevant regulations. Create integrated design solutions and communicate key concepts to clients. Develop base plans and coordinate technical requirements with other engineering disciplines. Define design intent aligned with client objectives. Research material options and alternative building methods as needed. Develop specifications and oversee the preparation of technical plans and related documents for permits and construction. Answer RFIs and review submittals and shop drawings during pre‑construction and construction phases. Manage and provide guidance to architectural designers. Strengthen client and team relationships through daily impact and expertise. What You’ll Bring Knows code studies and evaluations for life science facilities or hazardous/classified areas (preferred). Minimum of 10 years industrial or manufacturing architectural design experience, with proven ability to lead facility design from concept to construction documents, permit acquisition, and site implementation. Minimum of five years executing industrial projects in advanced technologies and life science sectors (preferred). Experience in food and beverage or heavy industrial manufacturing projects (preferred). Strong knowledge of local, state, and national building codes. Experience in creating construction documents for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or food and beverage industries (preferred). Design experience of greenfield facilities and renovation of existing buildings. Design of ISO clean rooms, labs, and processing spaces (preferred). Design experience of cold storage and refrigerated processing environments. Coordinating design with process engineers on industrial equipment installations (preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project. Bachelor of Architecture (BArch). Registered Architect (RA) license (required). Master of Architecture (MArch) (preferred). NCARB license (preferred).
