Assistant Football Video Coordinator

Job Summary The Assistant Video Coordinator for Football works under the direction of the Director of Football Technology with day-to-day functions within the football program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating with the set-up for videotaping of football events for both practices and games; videotaping and editing daily football practice for coaches for breakdown and study purposes; conceptualizing and designing, with input from coaching staff, a videotaping plan regarding camera positions and assignments; performing routine maintenance on equipment, which includes troubleshooting and video upkeep; preparing the transportation of equipment to home and away football games; ensuring all assigned tasks comply with department, university, BIGTen Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations; and performing similar or related duties as assigned or required. Physical Demands This position requires working during evenings and weekends, which are considered non‑standard work hours. While performing the essential functions, the employee operates a computer and other office devices such as telephones and copy machines; constantly moves around the facility and event site before, during, and after events to service clients; and continuously communicates via telephone, email, and in person with others to exchange accurate information. Standing, walking, kneeling/crouching, balancing, and lifting up to 20pounds. Preferences Experience working within a fast‑paced, high‑volume educational or collegiate institution. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: One (1) year of professional athletic, payroll, finance, accounting, procurement, fundraising, or event coordination experience. Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of athletic related policies and procedures. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of office administrative practices and procedures. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of individuals. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
