Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Some weekend shifts required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-risk labor and delivery patients, including those with pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and multiple gestations
• Support and manage patients undergoing induction, augmentation, VBAC/TOLAC, and active labor
• Respond to and manage maternal emergencies in an acute care setting
• Care for antepartum patients with varying acuity levels, maintaining appropriate patient ratios (Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3)
• Float between units as needed within the facility
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience in an acute care setting
• Experience with high-risk obstetric conditions including pre-eclampsia, antepartum care, and maternal emergencies
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or large acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with VBAC/TOLAC protocols and active management of complex laboring patients
• Background working in a teaching hospital environment
