Journeyman Electrician - Service (Commercial)
$33 - $40 per hourKnight Electric Inc
About this role: The Journeyman Electrician performs commercial electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small-project installations across a variety of commercial facilities. This role requires a valid Journeyman Electrician License and strong technical skill in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in active, occupied buildings. Compensation:
- $33.00 - $40.00 per hour pending experience and active state electrical license.
- Travel expenses paid
- Vehicle provided
- Fuel card
- On average 2-3-week sprints in Texas
- Most projects are in Texas with some locations in nearby states.
- Housing (Airbnb) is paid by company, travel to and from project is covered as well as per diem.
- Company vehicle is provided
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with commercial building systems, including lighting controls, switchgear, and distribution equipment
- Apply advanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC code
- Perform NEC calculations
- Execute all types of conduit bends using various bender types
- Install raceways, boxes, cables, panels, breakers, and transformers
- Assist with wire pulling and switchboard installation
- Install light fixtures, devices, and cover plates
- Connect branch circuits including terminations and equipment
- Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Maintain basic knowledge of control systems and components
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years in a commercial service role.
- Expert-level troubleshooting skills in a commercial setting.
- Must have ability to run and lead small-size projects (1-4 electricians)
- Possess an active state Journeyman electrical license
- OSHA 10 certification
- Ability to pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check
