You will confirm receipt by supplier and secure supplier ship dates to ensure on time delivery to meet stocking requirements and customer delivery commitments. Responsibilities: Reviews open purchase orders receives order confirmation, quantity, and price acknowledgements from suppliers, and loads supplier’s promise ship dates into business systems. Follows up with suppliers on order status and delivery and communicates delivery information to impacted departments. Contacts suppliers to check status of orders to ensure merchandise, supplies, and equipment are shipped on specified shipping dates. Communicates with transportation company to preclude delays in transit, traces shipments in cases of en route delays, and arranges for distribution of materials upon arrival. Qualifications: High School Degree or Equivalent required; Associate degree preferred 1 year required, 2 years preferred of directly related training and experience Knowledge of air, expedited, LTL, and cartage areas Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to multi-task, follow direction and work in a team Compensation Details $21.04 - $25.26 Per Hour This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan,subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
