What You'll Do
- Perform sleep tests in inpatient/outpatient settings, including pediatric and geriatric patients with diverse sleep disorders
- Assist with equipment setup: electrodes, thermistors, PAP masks, and other monitoring devices
- Monitor patient vitals, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure accurate data collection
- Support positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting and therapeutic sleep interventions (BiPAP, CPAP)
- Follow established sleep protocols to document baseline and abnormal sleep patterns
- Provide basic patient care and reassurance; work independently as required
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to optimize sleep study outcomes
What You Need
Required:- LA state license
- BLS certification
- RPSGT or RRT-SDS credential
- 1+ year experience in sleep technology or related field
- Comfortable working independently and troubleshooting equipment
- Ability to work varied sleep studies on adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
- Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and Alice Sleepware G3 (or Nihon Kohden)
- Prior travel experience in sleep environments
- Strong patient communication skills
About the Assignment This assignment involves working in a busy sleep center serving diverse patient populations, including outpatient, pediatrics, and geriatrics with sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and parasomnias. The role requires technical expertise with diagnostic equipment, patient care, and documentation, supporting both standalone and facility-based sleep studies.
