PROGRAM MANAGER

Job Title

The duties of this position include:

Establishing work assignments, setting priorities, preparing schedules, and ensuring timely performance of satisfactory work efforts.

Determining responsibilities, evaluating employee performance, recommending incentives, initiating corrective actions, assuring safety practices, and keeping employees informed of management and personnel policies.

Providing overall direction and guidance for the program organization, administration, and civilian personnel.

Applying managerial skills and a broad background of knowledge in program/project management.

Being accountable to the Program Manager for assigned cost, schedule, performance reporting, contract activities, logistics, budget, and personnel management for assigned activities in any and or all phases of the acquisition life cycle.

Assisting the Program Manager in forecasting and managing workload for the program office or functional area.

Advising the Program Manager in designing acquisition strategy and program baseline, and directing acquisition life cycle activities and all efforts associated with the program office or functional area through subordinate managers and teams.

Providing goals, objectives, program, and general guidance for operations consistent with higher level framework/guidance.

Identifying requirements and defining the scope of projects which comprise the overall acquisition program.
