Pharmacy Program Audit Analyst - Full-Time, Days

Job Description Be a part of a world‑class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine , as a Pharmacy 340B Program Audit Analyst. In this role you will conduct audits and support third‑party audits of the pharmacy 340(b) program for all qualified entities within the organization, including retail and contract pharmacy relationships. This is a remote/hybrid position. Responsibilities Compliance Audits – Assure that all use of 340(b) throughout the institution (including retail and contract pharmacies) is fully compliant with federal regulations and related program interpretations. Maximum Participation Audits – Ensure the institution maximizes utilization of 340(b) pricing by fully participating with all qualified areas and applicable products, including inpatient contracts, to realize cost savings. Efficiency of 340(b) Process Audits – Verify that all policies, procedures, and related approaches to 340(b) use resources efficiently. Additional essential functions include: Serve as the institutional “compliance expert” on 340(b), covering qualifications, policies, and virtual inventory processes. Maintain a strong emphasis on compliance for retail and contract pharmacy transactions and operations. Attend 340(b) conferences, monitor Apexus, 340B Health, OPA, and other industry publications to stay current on interpretations, rulings, and best practices. Audit and monitor all points of service where 340(b) participation occurs to ensure policies and procedures are followed and all patients qualify as “covered patients.” Audit utilization records and 340(b) purchasing accounts to verify accurate functioning of software or tools. Assist in developing and monitoring monthly and annual audit reports on 340(b) participation, documenting findings, exceptions, and discrepancies for pharmacy leadership. Provide insights into consistent policies and procedures that assure productivity, efficiency, and minimise additional steps or costs. Support proper implementation of full compliance without extra paperwork or manpower, including efficient use of software or tools to manage virtual inventory. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting, with exposure or limited experience in the 340B program (including 340B Prime Vendor Certification). Minimum three years of business analysis experience in a healthcare environment. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
