Shift Supervisor

Job Title

The incumbent is expected to learn how to lead and to take advantage of any opportunity to do so with a positive attitude. Their main responsibilities include supervising, running shifts and coaching those who require guidance to help them grow as a team member. This position requires a higher level of responsibility because every shift you run, and it is your responsibility to create the opportunity to enhance the store's efficiency during your time in charge. Essential Duties

Quick problem solver Executes shift success routines effective. Execute core operations procedures (e.g., shift accountability, product projections, Repair & Maintenance (R&M) spending, Cost of Sales/Cost of Labor (COS/COL) controls) on each of their shift. Goes for breakthrough results by analyzing the financial performance of their shift and identifying solutions to improve the result Support the RGM/AUM in ensuring marking incitive are being executed. Supports the RGM/AUM in executing strategies for training talent using the Learning Zone and shoulder to shoulder activities. Role models and coaches using the EARS Model (Explore, Analyze, Respond and Making it Stick) to help build the capability of their team. Holds team members accountable for performance below expectations. Recognizes employees for exceptional performance and embodying or core values using Our RBD Value Card to reinforce breakthrough results and to help them and you become a values Ambassador.

Experience & Education: Previous customer service or cashier experience desirable

Computer & Software Skills: Use of internet or apps is helpful

Seeing: Clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses; vision sufficient to drive motor vehicles safely with or without corrective lenses

Must be able to work with supervision; able to make decisions about the severity of variable situations and evaluate the most appropriate response; able to make appropriate decisions related to customer requests.

Hazards: Will be exposed to varying weather conditions, soil, pollen, grass and plant materials and fertilizer while working; will be exposed to cleaning solutions of home strength; may be exposed to industrial strength solutions for pest control, paints or solvents, biohazards such as bloodborne pathogens, sewage, or building waste.
