Sentara RMH APP Nocturnist - Hospital Medicine at Sentara Medical Group Harrisonburg, VA

Position Overview

Sentara Medical Group has a full‑time Nocturnist position available for an Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to join the Hospital Medicine team at Sentara Rockingham Medical Hospital (SRMH) in Harrisonburg, VA.

The Hospital Medicine Program at SRMH is well established and robust, managing an average daily patient census of 100‑130.

APPs are essential to our care foundation, and we seek to grow their impact and scope of practice across our hospitals.

Schedule & Staffing

Full‑time nocturnist schedule: 9p.m.–7a.m. (10‑hour shift) on a 7on/7off rotation.

Staffing model includes:

• 1 Daytime APP Admitter (7a.m.–5p.m.)
• 1 Swing APP Admitter (9a.m.–9p.m.)
• 1 PASS/Ortho APP (7a.m.–7p.m.) (Mon‑Fri)
• 1 OBV APP (7a.m.–7p.m.)
• 1 Night/Floor Call APP (9p.m.–7a.m.)

Compensation

$10,000 Commencement Bonus; $5,000 Retention Bonus after years2 and3; shift differential included.

Qualifications

Acute Care experience preferred.
