The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to manufacturing leadership, aligning HR practices with business objectives to drive organizational performance. This role supports plant operations by providing expertise in employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, and compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support business goals.
  • Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on people-related matters.

Employee Relations

  • Address employee concerns and conduct investigations in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Promote a positive employee relations environment and foster a culture of respect and accountability.
  • Support conflict resolution and performance management processes.

Talent Management & Development

  • Partner with leaders to identify talent needs and support recruitment efforts.
  • Drive performance management, coaching, and development initiatives.
  • Support training programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.

Compliance & Policies

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Support audits and ensure accurate HR documentation.

Operational HR Support

  • Analyze HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, productivity) to inform decision-making.
  • Support compensation and benefits programs in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Partner with safety and operations teams to reinforce a safe work environment.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting hourly and salaried workforce populations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.

Work Environment

  • This role operates in both office and manufacturing floor settings.
  • May require occasional travel between facilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk the production floor and engage with employees regularly.
