Orthopaedic Surgery Position Overview General orthopedic surgery with 24 hour call coverage. Assignment runs October 13 7A through October 16 7A. Key Responsibilities Locums can expect: 0-3 consults per day 0-2 visits to ED for closed reductions and admissions 0-2 surgeries per day to include wrist, ankle and hip fractures and I&D Long bone trauma is stabilized and transferred Provider must be within 20 minutes of hospital at all times on call. Candidate Requirements Board Certification Required. Must have active NC license and NC DEA (NC address). Provider must be vaccinated. ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required. Providers must be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS as a provider. Gratis hours capped at 4. We will not review any providers that offer less than 4 gratis hours. Organizational Highlights Hospital will be on Meditech Expansion. Surgeon will be provided hospital owned individual apartments onsite. Very nice and clean, cable and Wi-Fi. Any travel expenses will be capped at $500.00. This includes airfare, rental car OR mileage (not both).
