About the Position

We are seeking a Cardiologist for a locum tenens opportunity that combines hospital consults, hospital call, and outpatient clinic coverage . This role follows a rotating structure consisting of one week of inpatient call coverage followed by one week of outpatient clinic coverage .

Schedule Structure:

• Week 1: Hospital call
  • Monday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM
• Week 2: Clinic coverage
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

This rotation continues throughout the assignment. Coverage requires two physicians monthly to support two weeks of call and two weeks of clinic.

Clinical responsibilities include inpatient cardiology consults, diagnostic interpretation, and outpatient evaluation and management.

Procedures and Services Include:

• Hospital consults
• TEEs
• Echocardiograms
• Nuclear cardiology testing
• General cardiology call coverage

Requirements

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology (Board Eligible accepted)
Active Pennsylvania Medical License
DEA required

Ability to perform and interpret:
Echocardiograms
Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
Nuclear stress testing

Comfortable managing inpatient consults and outpatient clinic patients
Epic EMR experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
