Automotive Technician

Auto Technician - Full Time

The Technician is responsible for the the company's vehicle fleet and fleet facility. They will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and condition of vehicles, and will ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and minimize operational costs.


This position reports to the Director of Administrative & Transport Operations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor routine maintenance and repairs for all fleet vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain a record of all service schedules, repairs, and inspections.
• Coordinate with external repair shops and service providers for specialized maintenance.
• Must be able to function in a sometimes stressful and hectic environment.
• Must continually monitor and enforce biosecurity protocols.
• Must maintain facility cleanliness and upkeep, and coordinate building maintenance with the operations manager when necessary.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet.

Experience Requirements / Compensation

• Two years management, automotive tech or delivery experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of vehicle maintenance preferred
• Work is split approximately 80% hands-on / 20% administrative

ZFI is located in an extremely bio-secure area in North Central Kansas, enabling us to direct our focus toward the production of high-quality boar semen and the service and attention that we give to each of our customers. Three days each week we collect and deliver fresh semen to producers throughout the Midwest utilizing our proprietary climate controlled delivery system thus allowing us quality control from our boar to your door.
