Job Details Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week (8‑hour night shifts) Employment Type: Travel Location: Facility in Sun City West, Arizona Required Qualifications One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) Valid state Radiologic Technologist license PALS or ENPC certification Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Essential Work Functions Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures Assist physicians by maintaining a sterile field and passing instruments during procedures Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions Ensure appropriate radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness Manage and restock procedural supplies (catheters, guidewires, contrast agents) Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to provide seamless patient care Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures Perform additional duties as needed to support IR lab operations Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and competency with PC skills Physical abilities: stationary positioning, moving equipment (50‑100 lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal skills: collaboration with diverse personnel and professionalism Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation during procedures and equipment use Mental requirements: coping with frequent public contact, working under pressure, managing irregular schedules, maintaining concentration Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid time off after 1,560 hours Life and short‑term disability coverage 401(k) matching Referral bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other duties may be assigned.
