Job Title: Marine Mechanic Job Description
We are seeking a Marine Mechanic skilled in tear out, removal of valves, pumps, and hydraulics, as well as decking and racks on a US Navy Ship. This role requires physical strength and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities

• Tear out and remove valves, pumps, and hydraulics on a US Navy Ship.
• Assist with decking and rack installation and maintenance.
• Utilize basic hand tools effectively.
• Lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of shipyard operations.
• Experience with Navy-related mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in handling valves and pumps.
• Ability to work with hydraulics and basic hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with lathe machining and mills.
• Preparedness to work outside in diverse weather conditions including rain, snow, or sunshine.
• Willingness to work 10-hour shifts on most days.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
