Direct message the job poster from BlueWorx Staffing We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Structural Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects, including heavy and municipal transportation, bridges, and water/wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader, a collaborative team player, and an effective communicator. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of civil and structural engineering projects from conceptualization through to construction and completion. Develop detailed engineering designs, plans, specifications, and reports for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and investigations to inform design decisions and identify potential project challenges. Utilize advanced engineering software and tools (e.g., Civil 3D, CAD, BIM) to create detailed models and calculations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineers, to ensure integrated and seamless project delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating project updates, technical information, and design solutions. Oversee and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members. Perform on-site inspections and construction oversight to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Contribute to business development efforts, including the preparation of proposals and participation in client meetings. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Current and valid Professional Engineer (PE) license. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil and/or structural engineering. Proven experience in at least one of the following areas: heavy transportation (highways), municipal transportation, bridge design, or municipal water/wastewater projects. Proficiency in relevant engineering design software (e.g., Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation). Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and building codes. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
