The new faculty member will join a collaborative group of 26 mathematics, statistics, and data science faculty who serve the entire university community.We seek applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track Assistant Professional Professor position to begin Spring 2027. Although this is a non-tenure track position, progression in rank to professional associate and professional senior professor position is possible. We are particularly interested in a colleague who has preparation and experience in teaching both lower-level and upper-level undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses.Responsibilities:Teach undergraduate mathematics and/or statistics courses, including lower-division and upper-division courses.Contribute to ongoing course development and play a leadership role in common assessment and continuous improvement efforts.Participate in departmental and university service appropriate to a teaching-focused appointment.Support student learning and development through effective teaching, mentoring, and engagement with the various student bodies.Workload: The standard teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester (typically five 3-credit courses), for a total of 30 credit hours over the 9-month academic year, plus related service activities.
