Job Title: Wire Assembler Job Description
The Wire Assembler mounts electrical components and wires automated machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role includes complete installation and integration of electrical systems on equipment, precise assembly and wiring of control boxes, and soldering of PC boards and cable assemblies with high-density connectors. The Wire Assembler also supports documentation updates, constructs electrical test fixtures, and performs additional tasks as needed to support production and machine build activities.
Responsibilities
Mount electrical components and wire automated machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliable operation.
Complete full installation and integration of electrical systems on equipment, following established procedures and standards.
Modify, drill, assemble, and wire control boxes with a high level of precision and attention to detail.
Solder PC boards and cable assemblies, including intricate high-density connectors, to create robust and reliable electrical connections.
Construct sophisticated electrical test fixtures to support comprehensive testing procedures and quality assurance.
Contribute to updating and refining machine documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed electrical drawings.
Perform wire assembly for automated machines, feeding wires through components and crimping them securely.
Use wire crimping tools and hand tools throughout the shift, maintaining consistent quality and accuracy.
Attach panels and related components to automated machinery as part of the assembly process.
Follow directions accurately and adhere to production schedules, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
Use basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, to access documentation and record information as needed.
Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to task completion.
Essential Skills
Assembly experience with mechanical and electrical components.
Ability to follow directions accurately and consistently.
Proficiency in wiring tasks for automated machinery and control boxes.
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Sufficient hand strength to crimp wires repeatedly after feeding them through components.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately for assembly and layout tasks.
Ability to use wire crimping tools and hand tools throughout the workday.
Good math skills to support measurements, calculations, and basic layout work.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings, and potentially create blueprints with guidance from technicians.
Experience with hand and power tools used in mechanical and electrical assembly.
Capability to work in a production environment performing general labor and general production tasks as needed.
Soldering skills for PC boards and cable assemblies, including high-density connectors.
Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or manufacturing environment.
Exposure to electrical assembly and production processes.
Familiarity with constructing or using electrical test fixtures.
Comfort working with general hand and power tools for drilling, mounting, and assembly.
Ability to assist in updating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and electrical documentation under guidance.
Willingness to learn blueprint creation and refinement with support from technicians.
Reliability in maintaining quality, safety, and cleanliness standards in a controlled environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a temperature-controlled cleanroom environment that emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safety. The typical work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM on first shift. The position involves frequent use of hand and power tools, wire crimping tools, and soldering equipment, as well as working with automated machinery, control panels, and electrical test fixtures. Basic computer systems and Microsoft Office applications are used to access documentation and record information. The environment supports focused, detailed work, and requires comfort with repetitive hand-intensive tasks that may cause initial hand fatigue.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
