$200,000+ annual base salary

Sign on and relocation bonuses available

Full-Time opportunity in Bel Air, Maryland

Schedule: Ten (10) overnight shifts per four weeks, twelve (12) hour shifts

We are a 24-hour Emergency/Critical Care Practice providing advanced emergency care for small animals, with the added expertise of a full-time, board-certified exotics specialist. We have a skilled support staff and a pleasant working environment. Our new hospital offers 15,000 sq ft with 8 exam rooms and 2 surgical suites, all boasting a spacious, organized design focused on client, patient, and staff comfort as well as efficiency.

Bel Air, MD is located in beautiful Harford County, MD, which boasts multiple state parks ideal for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and kayaking. We are close to the Chesapeake Bay, with easy access to Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. Whether you like city living or country living, working in Bel Air can offer you the best of both worlds! In your day-to-day, you will:

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred (or equivalent clinical experience).
• Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine.
