About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Walnut Creek, California, 94598!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required, with 2 years of experience in specialty License: Current state license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (or willing to obtain) Must-Have: Experience with trauma and neuroscience patients Description: Position involves working in a trauma and neuroscience intensive care unit. The unit has 24 beds, divided into 2 separate 12-bed units. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:2, with criteria for 1:1 assignment as needed. Floating may be required to other related units within the facility. Travelers can expect flexible scheduling with no weekend requirements. Holidays require availability for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays and 2 out of 3 summer holidays. Patient population includes varied diagnoses such as cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, renal, and sepsis, among others. Familiarity with various medical equipment and procedures is necessary. The environment promotes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Collaborative support is provided by various healthcare professionals within the facility. Documentation is managed using an electronic medical record system. Candidates must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards.
