AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC

Tire Guys — Selden, NY

Pay: $20–$40 per hour, based on experience and ability. Full Or Part Time.

Tire Guys in Selden is looking for a reliable, experienced Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our shop.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and wants to be part of a growing local repair shop. We perform tires, alignments, brakes, suspension, maintenance, NYS inspections and general automotive repair.

What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates will have experience with:

Tire mounting, balancing and repair
Wheel alignments
Brake service
Steering and suspension repair
General automotive maintenance and repair
Check-engine light and drivability diagnosis
Scan tools and basic electrical diagnosis
Identifying needed repairs through vehicle inspections

NYS Motor Vehicle Inspector License strongly preferred.

ASE certifications are a plus but are not required.

We're a hands-on independent shop. Nobody is above helping with a tire, an oil change or another technician when the shop gets busy.

Compensation

$20–$40 per hour depending on experience, skills and certifications.

Examples:

General service / developing technician — lower end of range
Experienced B-level technician — middle to upper range
Strong diagnostic technician with alignment, repair and NYS inspection experience — up to $40/hour

Final compensation will be based on demonstrated experience and ability.
