Full Time Assembler/Entry-Level Mechanic (131)

Overview Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full-Time Assemblers / Entry-Level Mechanics for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier in Livonia, MI. Assemblers / Entry-Level Mechanics will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on off-road tactical military vehicles, self-driving/autonomous vehicles, and electric vehicles. This position offers a day shift with overtime available as needed. Qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Shift Schedule AM Day Shift : 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Monday – Friday, plus overtime as needed Qualifications – Minimum 1 year of recent hands-on assembly experience in an automotive manufacturing environment High school diploma or equivalent U.S. citizen Basic understanding of automotive systems Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Mechanically inclined with the ability to safely use manual tools and power equipment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures Self-starter who is motivated and willing to learn Good oral and written communication skills Excellent attendance with willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed Preferred Skills Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience preferred Automotive electrical systems experience a plus Basic set of mechanic tools encouraged Retirees and veterans are welcome.
