Data entry clerk

Our client is a fast-paced printing company seeking a sharp Data Entry Clerk to bridge the gap between sales orders and accounting. This role requires more than just high-speed typing; the candidate must understand basic accounting principles to ensure financial information is mapped accurately. Proficiency in QuickBooks and a firm grasp of accounting debits and credits are non-negotiable requirements. Technical Skills:

• QuickBooks Proficiency: Must have hands-on experience navigating QuickBooks (Enterprise or Online) for entering bills and creating invoices.
• Accounting Literacy: Solid understanding of debits and credits, general ledger accounts, and how transactions impact financial statements.
• Data Entry Metrics: High speed (Alphanumeric and 10-key) paired with near-perfect accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Input a high volume of vendor and production invoices into QuickBooks with strict attention to account coding
• Accurately enter balance sheet and income statement line items into internal tracking systems for financial reporting
• Process incoming print orders, verifying quantities and pricing before entering them into the system to trigger production
• Audit entered data against physical work orders and receipts to catch and correct discrepancies immediately
