Electronics Assembler IIIntellisense Systems, Inc. is a fast-growing Southern California technology innovator that solves tough, mission-critical challenges for our customers in the aerospace, defense, and commercial markets. We design, develop, and manufacture advanced products for ground, maritime, and airborne applications. We are seeking an Electronics Assembler II for our Operations Department. The successful candidate will have strong electronics and electro-mechanical manufacturing experience, with demonstrated proficiency in soldering, mechanical assembly, and epoxy potting.Location: Torrance, CA (Onsite) Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | Shift (7:00am -3:30pm)Responsibilities:Perform precision hand soldering of electronic components (SMT, through-hole, and harnessing) in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems, including PCB assemblies, cable harnesses, and subassemblies, using detailed drawings, schematics, and work instructions.Support prototype builds by interpreting engineering documentation, identifying issues, and providing feedback to improve manufacturability.Execute production assembly and in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.Perform epoxy potting, bonding, and conformal coating processes as required.Maintain accurate material control, traceability, and inventory records in compliance with AS9100 procedures.Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and other support functions to resolve technical issues, material discrepancies, workmanship concerns, part conformance issues and ensure on-time delivery.Train and mentor less experienced assemblers on soldering techniques, workmanship standards, and best practices.Identify assembly issues, nonconformances, and opportunities for process improvement; resolve or escalate as appropriate.Maintain ESD compliance and proper handling of sensitive and optical components.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.Perform additional duties as required to support evolving production needs.Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Electronics or relevant technical/vocational training preferred.4+ years of electronics manufacturing/assembly experience, preferably in a high-reliability aerospace, defense, or similar manufacturing environment.Experience with printed circuit board assembly, electrical harness production, ESD control, and handling optical components are a plus.Strong soldering skills in SMT, through-hole, and harnessing.Strong working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship requirements; current IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification desired.Must be capable of following assembly procedures and drawings to perform complex electro-mechanical assembly and system integration.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail for intricate assemblies.Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on complex tasks.Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and quality focus.Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-reliability manufacturing environment.Ability to clearly document nonconformances, discrepancies, and assembly issues in accordance with established quality procedures.What you can expect: Opportunities for voluntary overtime including occasional Saturdays when available. Pay Range: $28.00 - $33.00 hr.
