Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Lynnwood, WA. The Maintenance Mechanic performs mechanical repairs, design, modifications and routine maintenance of infrastructure and manufacturing equipment, tools, and machines. Essential Functions Perform mechanical work to ensure design and manufacturing are to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications, including tooling design, lapping, milling, pipe fitting, equipment assembly and alignment, clearances and tolerances, torque specifications and multi‑axis alignments. Service and repair rotating and reciprocating machinery, such as pumps (vacuum, cryogenic, water, fuel), single and 3phase motors up to 50hp, fans, blowers, compressors, hydraulic systems, molders, ovens, furnaces, environmental chambers and welders. Design, repair, build and modify application‑specific plumbing including vacuum, cryogenic and high‑pressure systems using condition‑designed materials and components. Safely use tools such as mill, lathe, grinders, drills, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, meters (vacuum, temperature, electrical, pressure) and wrenches. Maintain accurate records in a computer maintenance management software by documenting activities and results. Follow directions and work schedules from the assigned Maintenance Coordinator or Supervisor and the work order processing system. Perform any other task assigned by supervisor or management. Non‑Essential Functions Participate in the medical first responder team (training provided). Maintain a clean and organized workspace and equipment. Requisition, purchase, and maintain minimum stock inventory and process purchase transactions. Support other team members in primary job functions, cross‑training, and employee growth strategies. Assist in Kaizen, 5S and maintenance and facilities improvement efforts. Perform small tool maintenance and repairs, security badge processing and personnel office moves as needed. Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of experience in any trades such as machinist, mechanic, pipefitter or an equivalent field. Knowledge of general mechanical and engineering principles. Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, schematics and basic manufacturing drawings. Excellent communication skills and professionalism. Team player able to adapt to changing instructions or conditions. Good hand‑eye coordination and ability to climb and work on 12‑ft ladders and from heights up to 25ft on man lifts. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Trade school, apprenticeship or certificate in a related field. Experience in aerospace, electronics, chemical or manufacturing environments. Eligibility Requirement This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only U.S. persons will be considered. As a U.S. Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Working Conditions General manufacturing environment; may involve safety equipment such as eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, masks and other PPE. Exposure to loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes. Work may include the use of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, lifts, hand and power tools, meters and probes. Physical requirements: lifting up to 50pounds, climbing, ladder work, forklift driving (training provided) and use of tools requiring strength and dexterity. May require work at heights and may involve lying in prone position, kneeling, squatting, lifting, and occasional overhead reaching. Some weekend and extended hours may be required based on equipment availability and production needs.
